Music director has filed a case against as his song from the 1989 Tamil film Karagattakkaran has been used in the recently released Kappal, without his permission. Kappal has been directed by karthik G.Girish. Director shanker impress the movie and he had bought the release rights of the film. Ilaiyaraaja in any language under these circumstance using Ooru Vittu is clearly a violation of the court order, says Raja's legal adviser. He has also demanded that shanker immediately pay royalty for the song, which has been used in radio and television promotions. The makers of Kappal have also been asked to remove the song from the immediate effect failing which suitable civil or criminal action will be taken against shanker and others.
